Design Network was one of the first "service bureau" companies to provide Macintosh sales, service and support along side of the normal service bureau products and services.
Under my direction the company grew to a staff of 20 with annual revenue of $2.5 million. Design Network became an Apple-Authorized Value-Added Reller providing direct product sales and support to a variety of clients from designers to Fortune 100 companies.
WETMORE & CO. - Printing Sales/Macintosh Consultant - 1987-1988
While at Wetmore I designed and installed their first Mac-Based computer workstation where I helped create one of the areas first film-based color separation produced on a Mac using a pre-release version of Aldus FreeHand.
FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGNER - 1985-1987
Over the next two years I spent a great deal of time working in design and printing. As one of the first to actually use a Mac to produce artwork, I employed the computer to design projects for The Greater Houston Chamber of Commerce, Continental Airlines, Western Geophysical and various other oil and gas companies.
PHOENIX DESIGN GROUP - Co-Founding Partner - 1982-1985
I spent the early 80's with some of my best friends designing and producing artwork for Continental Airlins, Coca-Cola Foods, Minute Maid, Texas Skier Magazine, Cameron Iron Works and a large number of local advertising agencies.
In 1983, while working on the computerCraft annual report, we purchased our for Apple computer a Lisa Macintosh XL. White screen, dot-matrix, MacPaint and not much else. It was the beginning. I still have the Lisa and PageMaker v1.2.
